Calne images
The Calne video to promote the Great West Way in our area.
The video (below) produced to put Calne on the map for the Great West Way simply tells a story - by driving a classic car and stopping off en-route at places of interest from the Avebury Stones to the ancestral home of Bowood with of course the town of Calne playing a central role.
Stop off points from Avebury will include the spectacular scenery surrounding Cherhill, taking in the famous White Horse, the Lansdowne Monument before driving on to the quintessential Atwell Wilson Motor Museum and the Heritage Centre which is surrounded by beautiful buildings in the Heritage Quarter. The video shows where tourists can stay and of course where to eat before finally coming to an end in the stunning grounds of Bowood House and rhododendron gardens.
With over 1TB of video footage recorded since the early spring 2019, we covered 3 museums - 2 bed & breakfasts, 2 hotels, 2 self- catering and 2 camp sites. From Indian to Italian, from traditional to Nepalese and not forgetting the numerous cafes around the heritage area . 14 interviews later and with stunning drone footage we finished with two videos - one 3min for the phone and tablet on the move and one 22 min version which we exceeded by a further 12 minutes from the original quote of 10 mins.
We had fantastic support from the people of Calne and it’s out lying areas - Not one person was negative and everyone we approached gave their full blessing and support towards the video project to help put Calne on the Great West Way tourist map. From restaurant to cafes they couldn’t do enough for us giving us access to all areas.
Enjoy the scenery!
